Wow is all I can say. Look at the bridge (tele), look at the tuners(squier?), look at the neck, all in all to me looks like a $40.00 beater guitar, but seller claims he was told that it was bought in 1958 and has it listed as a Fender Stratocaster.

Here is the link:

I seriously doubt there is a single Fender OEM component on that guitar.

No, assuredly not. Look at the neckplate: those bolts are closer together than on a Fender. The body never came from a Fender factory and by the look of that trussrod access neither did the neck.

Interesting tuners though, and such fun to mix and match like that.

And what a cutesome paint job! ...I guess we all did things in the '70s we'd now regret...

Cheers - C

I think it's part of Fender's "Time Machine" series. That's the only way I can explain a CBS headstock on a 1958 Strat. 8)

Of course, the presence of the Telecaster bridge makes me think it comes from the lesser-known "Transporter Malfunction" series.

Looks like a guitar made in the garage. I`d stay away from it. I bought a MIM Strat with Tex. Specials on ebay for $ 175. Theres some good deals there, just keep looking.

The kind of guitar you'd love to smash after a show.

So far fifty bucks. I'd go 50 and maybe free shipping. Looks like a bad acid trip though. Not a Fender, but it does have some sort of Tele bridge on it. 70's repro headstock four bolt neck, no decals. You never know, it might play okay and might be fun to turn into a real Frankenstrat. :D

Thanks for that link. It's always nice to see things like that for a laugh or two.

That's the weirdest thing I've seen in a long time.

I think it has Japanese origins ...

OK, now that's a real turkey.

And given that we're in the run up to Xmas, it's not a good time for turkeys
