I'd knock him down to around $550 including case. They sold for around £600/$997 new from what I can make of it.

The decal of the guitar in question doesn't look silver to me, but it is a bad picture, so I suppose it could be silver like the "legit source picture."

I'll have to remember that the Korean Fenders have wide 12 fret dot markers, but not as wide as the Chinese fakes.

Yes, this is true. The dots on my MIK Lite Ash Tele are noticeably wider than MIA/MIM.

And my one has a similar looking "unusual" logo to this Koa, except that mine's a regular decal, not that shiny metal foil. But that is kosher too, because I can remember being surprised the first time I saw it on the Special Edition Koa: previous to that I'm only aware of shiny silver coming on American Deluxes.

That logo has already caused me minor tiresomeness. Twice smartypants little kids have confindently informed me that I have a fake Tele because they don't recognise the decal type...
