OK, I'm seriously thinking about it, and I need some opinions...

1. Does anyone have a Classic Series 60's Strat? If so, is it any good?
2. Does anybody think a Highway One is the best Strat they ever played?
3. Are Standards really worth it? I tend not to lean towards the MIM Strats.

Thanks!

blues_boy, this question must get asked many, many times every day- I'm not coming down on ya so don't take this as harsh, but you can do a search on these forums for each guitar you asked about and find tons of posts about each one. Do a little legwork.
Secondly, while I understand everyone wants advice, in all my years of playing, I've never had someone else decide what instrument I should get unless it was something I knew absolutely nothing about. Ya know, like -hey I'm thinking of taking up the Glockenspiel, can someone tell me whicih is a good one to buy for a beginner?
One of the best pieces of advice I and I know many of the folks on this forum will tell you is to go to your local store and play, play, play until you find the one that "fits" you. An instrument, especially a guitar- is a very personal thing - only you can know which is the best for you.
OK, there- I got that off my chest - good luck in your search!

PS- they are all great guitars- you won't go wrong with any of them. :D

Forget what anybody else says. A guitar is a very person thing and each guitar (even if they are the same model) could be different. I played 4 or 5 2004 50th Anniverary Strats before I found the one I liked. I've played highway 1s that did nothing for me, and yet I found a black one that I love.

When I went looking for a Tele I played everyone in the store and hated them all. I asked if there were anymore. They pulled a Muddy Waters Tele out of the box and I fell in love with it.

I would just go and play a whole crap load of guitars until you find what you are looking for.

I hope this helps.
