Just wondered what everyone prefers: the vintage width, or the newer 2 1/16" spacing (measured at the bridge), as per the current American Standard.

I prefer the smaller, I have a A Standard and it's my favorite guitar. In fact Im thinking of changing the whole bridge assembly on my YJM to a Callaham 2 1/16", for two reasons: I find the scallops cause me to slip of the board on the high and low 'E', and in anycase I seem to play better with the narrower type - I mainly use a plek, maybe finger-pickers would have a differnt preference?
