If I never use the trem does it matter which string tree Im using (roller trees VS those that come on the MIM strats) ?

Also, if Im doing lots of bending on the middle strings would it make a difference to add a 2nd tree?

In answer to your first question, no. In answer to your second, only if your bending continually pops the affected strings out of the nut.

One more thing,

Is it worth upgrading to the Callaham trem block if I dont use trem?

I am thinking the saddles might be the only real worthwhile upgrade, thoughts??

--Im about to place the relevant orders and am trying to save where I can without skimping where it counts.

Definitely not. There is absolutely nothing wrong nor substandard with the OEM equipment. I use the intact OEM tremolo assemblies/bridges myself and believe me, if I felt they were deficient or defective in any way, I'd change them in a heartbeat.

Like I said in an earlier thread, granted Callaham makes great stuff but it is grossly overpriced and the return on it is debatable.

Further, as an 'across the board' axiom, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."
