I was just wondering what would it feel like if I had a Charvel!?
I'm not very fond of humbuckers at all (I don't like them, to tell you the truth), but I am very attracted to Charvel. I think it wouldn't hurt having one around with humbuckers and Floyd Rose just for fun. I know I would get tired of Floyd Rose, but sometimes I lose my head for something more powerful.
So, if you have any opinion on Charvel guitars, or have one, or want to share pictures of your baby with the rest of us, please do!

If I saw a Charvel Model 6 for cheap I would snatch it up. I wanted one when I was a kid, the lead guitar player from my favorite local band used to play one. I looked a few weeks ago on Ebay to see what the prices were like now, and they were still pretty expensive.

I think that's the only Charvel I would want.

I would want So Cal 1, but with Seymour Duncans, not DiMarzios.

I have never played one but they are smoking in the looks department. I would have to check out the neck though as I need some meat on my necks and I dont know if they have those skinny $@! ones. I think every player should have at least one ax with buckers or if you play with buckers just the opposite. As you have your tonal pallet covered.

You dont have to have a metal axe to have a charvel. Heres my late 80's japanese Charvel strat. Now modded to master tone and blender pot.

Yes probably the best neck I've ever played.

I have never played one either, but it does look beautiful! I think I'll give it a try. If I don't like the humbuckers I can always switch them for single coils, right? So, you can't really lose anything!

Nice looking Charvel strat you have there nikininja! I like it! Japanese made are awesome guitars!

Look at this review on a few Charvels.

They are amazing instruments.

Goranm,
I have a Charvel 475, got it in 87 or 88, it's got a fantastic neck but I never got used to the floyd until I had it set up about 2 years ago with more springs and almost flush like my strat. Flammed maple, cherry sunburst, a real looker, If you like floyds they're really nice playing guitars.

And yes, the red one is pretty gangster. I love the simplicity of how the controls work too.

3 way switch

Coil split volume knob.

Yes, I too have problems getting used to Floyd Rose, and I have my standard strat tremolo all the way down to the body. I use three springs.

Those are beautiful guitars!!! I must say I prefer rosewood over maple fretboard, but maple looks awesome with black tuners!
