Nice! I've been wanting a maple neck for awhile.

It looks great. I havent played one yet and I wondered what the in between switch positions sound like. Does it have any tone in those positions that sounds Stratty, but maybe bigger?

philywilly33,

Absolutely a beautiful guitar. Thanks for the pics. I can't wait until my local shop gets one in to see how it sounds. As I mentioned before it has a lot of nice features that I would like for a guitar.

No. You need speakers if you want to hear anything.

I have a Marshall I can use without a cabinet. It's called... a combo:

:D

Anyhow: very pretty looking guit, philywilly. Enjoy that axe!

Lord, are you serious?

I had a non-guitarist friend round and he strummed a few notes through my amp. I had the channel volume right down and after a minute he looked up with a disappointed expression and said; "hey, I thought Marshalls were supposed to be loud...?"

I reached down and turned the lead channel up to about three. He hit the strings and a sound emerged pretty comparable to the noise Concord made at the moment of takeoff (if you've ever heard that). It kinda picked him up and flung him against the far wall, like he'd been shot with a huge Magnum.

Am I exaggerating? Only a little.

Then I looked down and realised the power attenuation was kicked in: that amp was only running on 25 watts instead of the full hundred.

In short: yes, you can gig with a combo...

Cheers - C
