I am not a fan of Billy Corgan; however, his signature model has a lot of bells and whistles that I like. Nice pickups, nitro paint, Hardtail bridge (no Tremolo), '70's style headstock, and it comes with a harshell case. Total price is $1500 for this guitar. I would buy this guitar if I had $1500.

Keep in mind that having a signature model will not guarantee that you will play just like that artist. The mojo is in the hands not the gear. The only way to get the mojo is to practice.

I have not played one because I have not found one in a shop that I frequent. Consider this: when you started out driving, did you start with a Porche? I would go for a more cost-effective model if I was just starting out. The American Standard is a beautiful guitar as well and a little cheaper. There is also the Highway 1 model if you like the big headstock and it's less expensive than the American Standard. Play all three and see which one you like. Just my 2 cents.

Great deal. Buy it ... and don't change the pickups.

Now that's a steal. I would jump on it. If you are into high gain distortion like Smashing Pumkins--you will be more than happy with the pick-ups. Like I said, I would love to play that guitar.

I'd NEVER buy a guitar based on who plays or played it. Granted, BC may be your #1 guitar hero but down the road, who knows? Besides, it is your turn to work on becoming someone else's #1 guitar hero.

If by coincidence, this guitar has everything you personally would and wouldn't want, then by all means, bag it. Otherwise, buy what works the best for YOU.

Of course, any nice Strat would be a fine choice.

Look under the specs and it will tell you what it comes with.

I think the specs look pretty cool. When this came out I was kind of surprised that it had a lot of the same mods I had done to my own over the years (hardtail, rails).

At the price mentioned, I'd definitely go for it!

BTW I saw their comeback tour when they reformed and if his actual strat is any indication, it sounds VERY nice.

yeah, it was a good show. I'd say strings are pretty much user-preference. I like 10's. Might want to use 9's if you do a lot of bends, or thicker if you plan on tuning down or something.
