Thats Highway1player, alwaystrat, strat2004. This is his latest incarnation sixfingerjiz. Basicaly he despises anyone who disagrees with him or asks him to prove some of his more wild claims. Like the daphne blue highway1 that sells for $2000. Or to explain how the tone circuit is vintage accurate. Then he'll storm off saying how much of a joke certain posters are (FHopkins and myself included), how bad this site is and how much better other sites are. Yet he always comes back, under a different username. Luckily the terrible spelling and atrocious grammar make him quite easy to spot. His earlier classic claim in this thread was that the Jackson CRV2 pickup is a good pickup. Perhaps thats why jackson only use them on their Korean budget guitars. He claims to have a $350 jackson thats made in Japan with CRV2's. The fact that the only Jackson guitars in that price range are the JS series that do indeed have the aformentioned CRV2 pickups are made in Korea. He's no doubt preparing one of his usuall xenophobic responses something along the lines of 'all them piss pot countries are the same anyway'. Quite similar to the one residing in my mailbox that he made about England.

hi dont no much about mij strats but i have a mim strat thats never let me down in ten years of hard jaming and gigs. i put some fat 50s in the old girl about six years ago . it realy made it jump more vintage sounding to my ears way . my strat is deluxe series 1997 model. its a grate guitar to play. i have to more strats 89 us standed and a mark konpfler artist strat to. to me the mim strats are not to far behind in build quality and sound. like all guitars you have to set them up to what you want play and sound like. you konw the sound in your head and the touch on the neck so to speak. love all stratocasters

Are you south east UK? Or am I getting confused?

If so theres a builder my bassist uses around london that he thinks is the cats pyjamas. Seeing his work I agree with him. I'll find that guys details out. Other than that it depends where you are. There are numerous quality builders all over the country. Word of mouth is your best friend in that instance. You want someone who others rate.

Hi Nicky

Is there any way in which I could get in touch with you to find out who your basist uses?

I may be being spectacularly dim, but there does not seem to be a 'P.M.' facility on this (wonderfull) site?
