I saw him in concert too, at the Alice Tully Hall ( ??) in 1976. I remember being amazed at how big his hands were, he rested his left foot on a little stool and how fast his fingers could go for a man about 80 years old. The audience was very respectful towards him and was silent so we could hear the dynamics in his playing. I'm very, very thankful I got to see and hear one of the true legends.

Had the pleasure of watching Carl Verheyen last Wendsday night at a very small venue in Mill Valley, Ca. 2 hours of pure bliss...an incredible talent accoss a number of genres.....he made his Strat sing.....one of my favorites!!!!

Actually, I think that's Buddy Guy, who in turn influenced people like Cream, Gallagher etc...
