Can someone please explain to me why that tone pot is stacked? and maybe any other general information on the matter would be nice.

This is an all stock 1996 Stratocaster Plus in Sonic Blue

Does that model have a mid boost (like the Clapton Sig)?

If so, I'm guessing it's the mid boost control which is built into the 2nd tone pot..

Anyone else?

Thanks for a push in the right direction, I thought it may be but wasn't sure. Anyway you helped me answer my question and googled this for anyone else that is too lazy to pull out their owners manual.

I'm pretty sure all Strat Pluses have them. I have a 1989 Strat plus DLX. go to www.xhefries.com....something like that. It might be xhefriesguitars.com...but you will find more info there.
