I've got a 1996 50th anniversary of Fender strat. I bought it when it first came out. I'm not interested in selling, but i cant find any info about it anywhere. I'd be interested to find things out about it like what it's worth, rarity, I've seen other 50th anniversary guitars but none like mine. It's white with maple neck but also with a white headstock

It's probably not a particular collectors item, but after 11 years of playing it i'd like to find out more about it and why does it has a white headstock?

Would appretiate any feedback

Cheers

I think it's highly likely that your guitar is essentially a standard strat with the 50th Anniversary sticker on the headstock. Unfortunately, ALL Fender guitars during 1996 came with that sticker, so it's unlikely that it's rare.

The 50th Anniversray stickers DO differentiate your guitar from say, a 1994 one and may add a very small increment in value (but not significant).

There were two other 50th anniv Strats produced that were a little more collectable.

There was a 50th anniv Strat which had gold hardware, but again this was a large volume production guitar.

Lastly, there was a limited edition 50th Anniversary Strat (only 2500) made and numbered accordingly. Here's what they look like:

Thanks for your feedback, I didn't know all guitars made that year had the sticker on it.
But do you know anything about why my guitar has a white headstock?

It's about time that some else puts out that info about the 1996 model Strats. I did however find in a book in which there was a 50th Anniverary Strat. 3 color sunburst flame top, gold hardware, and a special neck plate saying something about the 50th Anniversary.

Sorry, i didn't read your initial post properly - missed the bit about the matching headstock. I haven't seen one with a maple neck though. Mine is rosewood...

Yes, the matching headstock Strats were a limited editon, but I don't know the exact production numbers. There were three colours done, I understand.

Here's my three together...

No. The sticker has little meaning. I'm sure it's been said before, but all Fender instruments received the same sticker.
