Fret not (no pun intended ) We've been down this road before with him and I've pretty much articulated what's been said herein, elsewhere.

But get real. Where do you see blues music shining but on cable radio? You would expect something of that sort on BET if anywhere else, no But NO! On that, and VH1, Fuse, and the like its all metal, rap, and the rest of the yadayada.

If all the googoo gaga gets JM where he wants to go he can continue in the vein characterized by one of his most recent cable broadcast concerts where he brought Buddy Guy on at the end saving the best for last, and pretty much said so. Smart businessman. Saw the trend and the limits on his major influence, SRV.

Playing the blues running all the way to the bank definitely beats having the blues 'cause there's no money in the bank.

As long as you see it all clearly, that's what matters.

Interesting sidenote.As much attention as his guitars get these days (especially with his signature strat), I wonder how many people realised until a few years ago his main strat was a SRV signiture strat with a tortoise shell pickgard?Was watching th Crossroads dvd from texas and he was indead playing it.

Certainly wasn't lost on this dude....witness his Artist Series Strat which followed. Wonder if that will be continued once the next chapter is read.
