I just wired up my Floyd Rose Fat Strat and i think i did something wrong...Im using a Lace Sensor RED/SILVER dually which should be a pretty hot pick up ..But my volume seems weak in fact the stock neck pup is stronger..Plus the sustain almost seems clipped ..When play high on the neck notes are cutting out on me..Does any one have any clues as to what i may have done wrong?
I still have tone control and volume control..There is no hum or cracking at all so it has me somewhat confused..

How do you have it wired?

Your wiring is correct.

I suspect that one of the leads was pulled on a bit too aggressively and you might have either an in-line short in it or it separated itself from the coil inside the pickup itself.

I just had to wire up a humbucker for the first time in a old Hamer guitar. One of the webpages I found for Dimarzio pickups had a instuctions for wiring it normal, but had a section under that saying if the pickup sounds out of phase (hollow, weak and thin, then they should be wired in reverse phase, and you would solder 2 different wires together, and then take one of the wires that were wired together and put that on the hot connection, said you would usually need to that to a guitar with single coil pickups, like a Strat. But you would think the Lace diagram would already be like that. And I don't know what colors you would need to change on the Lace, cause they would be different colors.
