Yeah, but only the MIAs have those "issues". It looks like another solid vote for MIM.

WOW three pages of post and not one person mentioned the American has a Bi-flex truss rod which I have found really tweaks a neck. Go to a the neutral position tweak. It 's a much better neck to setup and address issues in which you may need to remove some of the convex shape of the neck. Face it what is the most important part a guitar for playability, the neck.

Think how good Hendrix would have been if he'd had a Bi-flex truss rod.

You do as many setups as I have you would no how nice it is. You can set a flat neck and go from there. Get one easy setup playing guitar. I would say Jimi would have loved it.
And I own both MIM's and MIA's so I am not just comparing the ones I work on but also the ones I own and play.

MIM and MIA are like Honda and Harley. Both are good machines but if you want the American made, you gotta pay the price.

And what would that be 23,000.00 for a Goldwing without extras? Or 24,000.00 for the HD Ultra Glide Limited?  I get what you mean though.

Too often these MIMvs MIA threads become nothing more than a pee pee contest. Its really a matter of personal preference and what one is or isnt willing to spend.Nothing more, nothing less. Some are willing to spend the extra money for the given features , some arent. No big deal. Not everyone has the patience or the time to mod their guitars .

I like my MIM Strat and Jag. I like my MIA VG, Mahogany Strat and J5 triple tele . I like my CIJ Jag. I like my Indonesian Squier. I just like guitars, I don't really care about the details.

With an MIA Std you get:

1) HSC
2) Finer details on a 22-fret neck
3) Alnico Pickups
4) 2-point bridge/trem with better trem block
5) Better color selection
6) Staggered tuners

this dont make my mind up.
the mim 2006 to present have
fantastic quality craftmanship body's
and necks the MIM strat reminds me of
a strat used in the late 60's. also the fender
ping tunners are better that the fender classic
tunners. the mim strats are simply fantastic in my book.

strat2004, allwaystrat, sixfingerjas, guitarsneak how many sign ons do you have exactly?
