Can some one please tell my why the VG STRAT was discontinued april 09 ? I have one and it plays and sounds great / I've already heard the "gimick" myth - but I'm just looking for the real reason. Tks.

I think the reason was that nobody was buying them...

There are a lot of traditionalists out there. The battery life?

Personally, I loved the idea of the VG but I already had an acoustic and I already had a Tele.

I wasn't going to pay $500 for extra tunings and a baritone.

ps. I also already had a Strat with a HSS. I still want one though.... :lol:
