99% sure he meant $100. I'm trying to get in asap to see it. If it is an american neck, i will be the happiest man in the world. An american neck would make my strat so much sweeter.

Is there anyway to tell where the body was made? So far I'm convinced they're unmarked. Hell, even if it is an MIA body, I would probably just toss it on flebay, seeing as how I already have a very tonally responsive and great sounding body. Then again maybe not haha.

I really hope i didn't miss the boat here, I replied very quickly.

Having only glanced quickly at it, it looked like a legit American Standard to me. Of course, I could be wrong but it really isn't that important to me one way or the other.

Having said that, I want to offer a thought: Every so often you'll find a pissed off ex-wife or ex-girlfriend selling her ex-significant other's stuff for dirt cheap. I'm not saying this is one of these situations nor do I have any knowledge of it one way or the other. Yet, in today's age of albeit justified cynicism, sometimes keeping an open mind and following through may reward someone with a very nice score. I once bought a two month old Gibson Les Paul Standard w/HS case for $200 this way back in the early '80s. The girl's divorce was final and the total contents of the house were awarded to her as the husband skipped out on her and did not even show up for court. I did tell her that the guitar was worth a lot more. She told me she couldn't stand to look at it any more for all the obvious reasons and the $200 would be just fine. She even went as far as saying, "If this be the case, if that (expletive deleted) ever found out I sold it for $200, hopefully it will piss him off all the more!" Hey, she didn't have to twist my arm!

well guys... the poster removed the ad. I'm assuming it's sold, which is a real shame. I'll you know if anything comes up. Until then, my search continues.

Before this all came up I was going to use a broken in squier neck for this project, but now I'm motivated to get at least a nice MIM or possibly a MIA neck for my strat project. It doesn't really matter when, as I can always replace the neck at a later time. If anyone sees any deals out there, PM me.
