I have a recent model American Deluxe Strat and when I break a string they all go out of tune being unplayable.
when I put a replacement on the tension puts the strings back in tune.

does anyone know if there's anything I can do to adjust the bridge or something so this doesn't happen?

The only thing is to block your tremolo if you don't use it or use some
device to anchor the bridge.

The problem you mentioned is inherent to using any floating bridge - if you break a string on any guitar it will throw off the tuning because the tension on the neck changes - it's just more exagerrated on a floating bridge because the bridge position also changes. I have a Strat Plus that used to have a Hipshot Tremsetter that helped the floating bridge return to it's 0 point, but even it wouldn't help if a string broke. Your options are keep a backup guitar with you at gigs, or adjust the bridge flat against the body with no float so that if you do have a string break the tuning issues are less dramatic...

My Epiphone Strat does the same thing!
