Which guitar is better? (there will be non-Fenders!)

For me the vote was a no brainer. The American 57 VR hands down, though all of the cloices are excellant guitars in my book.

The 72 tele deluxe RI is a classic design too, like the 57AVRI it costs twice as much the rest of the options.

Their all good guitar but, you get what you pay for.

Yes this was pretty much a no brainer as I would go with the 57. Is this a poll for you to narrow down the guitar you want to buy? Of all the Gibsons you had to pick the one I dont like an SG. I love the tone of one but I hate the feel of them.

This can only be decided by the individual player. The quality may be similar for all of them. If so then it becomes which one do you like the best. I would like the 57 VR.

just because a strat has a 1962 or 57 in front of of it
does not mean its a better guitar than some others.
some of you seem to be fooled by that but i'm not and
never was. ans yes i'm another big fan of the highway one strat.

Correct, that logic only applies if you have a 1954, 55, 56, 58, 59, 60, 61,63, 64, 65,69, 70 in front of it :P

I dont believe anyone here is fooled by a Strat with a 57 or 62 in front of it, so you're not in the boat by yourself when it comes to understanding that. I think alot of us who like those guitars want them because of the wood used and the vintage specs. It is not that they are inherently superior to other models.

Are we being a troll and just trying to flame things?The HWY 1 is a good guitar no doubt about it but there is a reason the vote is leaned heavily towards the 57 RI...
I also think that it wasn't a reasonable poll for the Gibson models ..If it would have been a SG Standard or a Zoot suit or a 68 RI ..I think there may have been a few votes for them..

im not "fooled" by the numbers. that guitar is just better imo. better sound, feel and specs.
