Yeah, same for me.

Just go with the one you're most comfortable with. I know this sounds obvious, but it really is the only practical advice I think I can give. Good luck!

Well you tried a lot of Strats and have it down to three now just go with the one you like the best as I do not think you can go wrong with any of your choices. I know where guys are coming from with the signature guitar thing but outside of only a few do they pin point you to that artist. I own two and love both artist but that had nothing to do with buying either guitar.

I am not a big fan of Iron Maiden but I love that Dave Murray Strat. Besides how many people outside of real players know it is a signature guitar unless your playing a SRV or Vanhalen Frankestrat and a few others.

Now that you have narrowed it to three guitars, go back and just play those three guitars. Only play 10 minutes with each guitar. The guitar that you are most impressed with at that point should be the guiter you get. I know this is not much help, but it is easier to pick from three guitars than from 20.

Let us know what you have decided on.

I play an SRV at gigs and very few people know what it is .Ya just change the pickgard and its a sunburst guitar with gold hardware.Just like the Deluxe players with a left hand trem.

Very simple, buy the MIM strat.

Difference between Mexican Strat and American Standard Strat?
50 Miles and 1 fret wire.

Difference between American Standard Strat and JM Strat?
$$$

Why buy what you don't need. If the MIM Pickup's aren't excatly what you want, you'll have enough $$ from avoiding the American and Signature strat to buy some Fender Custom Shop or Fralin PU's.

Want to save more money? Buy that guitar used! Instant Mojo and 30%-45% savings.

It's really up to you and you're doing the right thing by trying each one.

I've never really looked at those classic 60's, but I just looked on the product page and I REALLY like it!

I'd go with the American Standard. I picked up a new one back in July and haven't regretted it for a second. Really a wonderful guitar.

My response is more related to a cost perspective. Unless I start playing professionally and can afford the more expensive gear, I'd save my money and buy mexican. If its a matter of preference over cost, a V-neck 50's profile is more my style. Very few non-custom shop or signature strats have that profile....

Out of those 3, if it were me, I would go with the American Standard. I am partial to the 57 AVRI Strat. However, my next strat will be an american standard in Olympic white with a maple neck. aaahhhh.

good luck.

So I'll offer my opinion. Go to a different music store. Ask the sales person, who knows what they are talking about, for one of the 3, in no particular order. have him plug you up to your amp of choice and hand you the guitar; EYES CLOSED and PLAY!

Repeat with 2nd and 3rd options. When you are finished playing the last guitar, you'll know the answer to your question.

Peace,
84
