Welcome.........

...........as far as your question....the sky's the limit....and the suggestions you can expect will be unlimited as well. If you can narrow down what you want from this guitar that might be more helpful. Your other guitar is a totally different breed of cat. I've owned two of 'em. Great guitars, but I keep coming back to Strats.

Doc

Welcome stevechet!

How did you decide your username, if I might ask?

Some of our favorite members are from the UK.

Just wanted to say Hi to you all,as you can see I'm a new convert to Fender after having more than a few mid to top end guitars, I finally took the plunge and tried a mexican upgrade strat, could'nt put it down, I got one in white, the only other guitar I have now is a PRS,I'mgoing to leave it as it is for a while but any recommendations and help on what to upgrade on it i.e pickups etc would be very appreciated, I play various styles of music rangeing from clapton to slipnot.
Regards
Steve :)

Welcome to the Forum. Congrats on the new guitar. I am partial to Dimarzio pickups. I have a Super Distortion in mine and it rocks. There are hotter pickups out there as well. You may also like the following ideas:

1. Locking Tuners--I perfer the Fender/Schaller, but other people like others.

2. With a white guitar...either black accessaries with white pickguard, or black pickguiard with white accessaries. Perloid pickguards looks cools in either color

3. Strap-locks--you choose the brand

4. Check these out...choose which one you like

I am sure others here have suggestions on modifications.

Welcome to the forum and post pics of yur guitar if you can.

Stevechet,

Seymore Duncan's are good as well. The Fender/Schallers shoud be a direct fit. Your holes on the back of the headstock should look like this to do a direct change without any hassels.

New Fender/Schaller Tuners on:
