Hi,
I am looking for some info on available colors for the 2006 American Deluxe Strat. I see the colors listed for 2007 on the Site, but not 2006 info.

Anybody have a copy?

Thanks Gil,
I bought a used American Deluxe Strat and have been trying to get some info on the partiuculars.

From the neck serial, it shows the neck to be a 2005 deluxe american "DZ" neck, but it has the 60th aniversary(2006) emblem on the back of the headstock.

The body is Antique White which does not list in the catalog for 06 or 07, but I am finding them available through Musicians Friend and a few other online retailers in that color.

Also it has the Vintage Noiseless pickups instead of The SCs.

Could this be a custom run for the online mass retailers? Or is my guirat a little frankensteined?

Humm, I don't know myself.

Here is a Craigslist entry for a Blizzard Pearl one (w/ pictures) - http://denver.craigslist.org/msg/462406433.html

Here is a listing for an American one w/pictures and in a hard case - http://minneapolis.backpage.com/musician/classifieds/ViewAd?oid=oid%3A630004&name=music%20equipment%2Finstruments

And here is one at a Standard one in Blizzard Pearl at Elderly http://www.elderly.com/fmic/items/FS60AS.htm

The price list I have shows:

Quote:
014-6002 60th Anniversary Standard Stratocaster, rosewood (w/ special gig bag)
355 Blizzard Pearl

Info about American Series Strats on other websites only list Three-color Sunburst as the available color. Could the one you have be a Standard ? How do you know that is Antique White - did it come with a hang tag or some other identifying documentation ? What kind of case ? Gig bag == Standard, Hardcase == American.

I don't have any earlier prices lists.

here is mine
http://www.guitarists.net/forum/view_bb.php?forum=2&thread=78877

and here is the Musicians Friend item ( the default color shown is like mine and is listed as antique white
http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Fender-American-Deluxe-Stratocaster?sku=511142

It is odd.
Mine has everything the newer deluxe has except the SC pups and is a non standard Fender color, but a standard Musicians Friend Color.

I don't have anymore info - but your's looks very nice - and it definitely looks like an American Deluxe !

Without having the actual price lists and/or older catalogs in hand, it is hard to know exactly what colors some Fenders have been offered in.

And as you said, it might have been made for the large outlets - like MF and GC.

Congrats - it looks great - hope it sounds as good as it looks! :D

Thanks for the help. It sounds awesome. I played a few of the strats with the SC pickups, and they are nice, but I dont think i will be changing out the Vintage noiseless for them anytime soon!
