Beautiful guitar, I always liked the transparent finish. My buddy has one that is in a green transparent and it looks great.

Question: do they make the deluxe players without the gold hardware?

Where did you get the white pickguard with the hole for the bridge pickup button, or did you drill the hole yourself?

I bought it online at best buy. Its 4 ply, same as the brown one. I had Ed Roman guitars here in vegas do the pickgaurd and the fretwork. They drilled the hole in the pickgaurd, you cant buy one with it already drilled. I did the tuners. Had to increase the size of the tuner peg holes from 11/32 to 13/32. And also another hole in the back had to be drilled for the screw

Thanks, I actually killed three birds with one stone. I wanted a Blue guitar to add to my collection, I also wanted a maple neck guitar, and everybody needs a Strat in their collection. I have a tele. Also I got the vintage trem to boot so Im very happy with this axe, She's such a beauty!

The best thing is that the amazing finish is so near exclusive. A thing of beauty for sure.

Its true the finish is very elegant. I have 7 guitars and this one stands out, especially with the pearl pickgaurd. Thx for commenting.

30 or so years ago, I tried an AmStd strat, and didn't like the sound nearly as much as a Les Paul that also played. This caused me to be a Gibson/epiphone snob for a long time. I couldn't stand the hum. About 2 years ago, I saw the MIM Sapphire Blue Strat, and was drawn to it just based on the beauty of it. When I played it, well that was it for me ! This guitar has tones that shame any other guitar that I have. Clean or distorted, hands down sounds better than my Pauls.

I'm interested to know what tonal qualities the SD or any other brand of pups bring that the Vintage Noiseless doesn't provide.

Thanks.

...began life as a deluxe player in trans blue, right? ... exceptionally slick specimen! Gorgeous grain and color. Nice job with this one!
