YOu can always buy another guitar but you can't buy another Mom.
The answer is quite obvious.

OOPS!
I thought it said guitar for me or TV for my mom.
It says room.
This changes everything.
Get the guitar.
Hey, I'm old.
Even with bifocals I missread it.
I apologize profusely.

Bag the guitar and start gigging with it. With the money from the gigs, go out and bag the TV. Problem solved.

Wow at that age I would woodshed until the sun came up and could care less about a TV. You already have a TV in your room and if it is color and has cable-say no more and get the guitar. Like I tell my son if he played his guitar as much as he did his video games he would be on youtube as he is gifted and only 11.

But he plays his hour a day and that is it, and I will not force him to play anymore than he wants. But at the same age he mops the floor with me, but my determination was 5 times more than his as I had no one to show me whatever I wanted to play and I think that is a problem with a lot of kids today.

In 2 years the same stuff will be on the tube or on dvd but if you woodshed hard for two years believe me you will gain so much more in self esteem and will actually accomplish something more important than you can get from the tube. Like I say to my son you may be good and have potential but just think of the thousands of guys that keep on playing after you stop.

In 5 years, the TV will be old and outdated, maybe broken and you will have to buy another one. In 5 years, the Fender will sound just as good, maybe better than ever and feel like a broken in pair of jeans. Something to consider ^^

Ask yourself this question and you'll have your answer..."Which of the two items will bring you the greatest enjoyment over the longest time"...?

P.S...Let us know what you decide.

I'd go for the Guitar, TV rots the brain. Making music stimulates the brain. I'd rather be stimulated.

The TV wont last as long as the strat... as above, there's crap on TV and it's all repeats anyway.

Get some Mojo in your life. Get a Strat.

I'm not a TV guy .. except for the news .... that question wouldn't even occur to me ..I guess in your situation buy the strat ... get rid of the other guitar and buy the TV if you must.

Cheers
