Hi jtcolumbus: just to further, erm... clarify the situation, what that sale shows is one of these with a fake decal on the headstock:

http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-09-SEE-THRU-ICE ... 2a028268a1

Not necessarily that exact model, of course. Just type "clear acrylic strat" into Ebay and you will find loads more of these transparent body guitars. And for much lower prices too - that Craigslist seller is putting a huge premium on the fake decal...

Cheers - C

Perhaps it's a couture body because it's so fashionable.

How do acrylic bodies sound anyways? If you were to put quality electrics into it?

I find the body quite interesting and good looking, wouldn´t mind having one of those bodies at all. (with original fender componentes).

"Mada in USA" LOL!!!!

If plastic gave a bad tone, bet Nile Rodgers, the funk master, wouldn´t have played with a platic see thuough Strat during the 70´s. (I´m not saying sounds like wood, but......)
