He must be getting a good deal with ESP as he's been using these with his name on the headstock for a while now.

It's funny that ESP doesn't list Sambora on it's Japanese site's list of artists:

http://www.espguitars.co.jp/artist/index.html

two of my favorite Japanese guitarists are there: Akira Takasaki and Char.

That ESP looks like it swims in a fish tank.

Hmmmm, you don't see very many guitars that you can open a beer bottle with. .... a great feature though.

Doesn't the new EVH headstock offer the same 'OMG I forgot my church key " rescue device?

Just bolt one of these to the body (they look better on a Tele, however).

Will definitely be found appealing in some quarters, no doubt.

The twist open caps made those things nearly obsolete, unfortunately.

Somehow I'm finding that truly serious brew is not bottled with a twist-open cap. Can't be specific right now, but I've been surprised.

Digresse evous, sil vou plait.

Played the the MIA Sambora Strat at Winter NAMM 1994 (I think). Very nice Guitar! The Mid boost was killer and really seperated this guitar from the other aritists models at the time (that and the Floyd Rose). However, the MIM Sambora Strat which came later, is basically a MIM HSS strat with a Floyd and Sambora's name on it. Unless you are a Sambora Fan and just have to have his name on your guitar, save yourself some cash and just get a HSS with a floyd. I've seen both MIA and MIM models on ebay.

Some miss information here. My MIM RS Strat has a fatter/wider neck and doesn't feel like the dry MIM necks. It has the same pups as the MIA RS Strat but no stars. The only ones I have seen have been LPB color so far and usually go for $400-600 used.

I saw that Bon Jovi was on Good Morning America the other day (Wednesday 11/25, I believe) and, sure enough, Sambora was playing one of his Signature ESP guitars (a sunburst).

I'm not a huge Bon Jovi fan but I wanted a Floyd Strat to stick a Dimarzio Super Distortion in like Glenn Tiptons Strat. Won a new MIM Tele and ran into a guy wanting to swap the Sambora Strat for a Tele,so I have $40 in raffle tickets & $30 in shipping for the trade
