I personally think that they're great guitars, i just wanted to know what other people think of them, and if anyone's ever had a 'dud' yet.

Post this in the Squier forum and you might get more responses.

I've never tried them, but they look nice enough!

Hi Paul! The Squier forum is on the Fender forum main page. Scroll down, and you'll see it. It's below Fender Pickups and Accessories and above Starcaster® by Fender. 8)

I have CV 50s very early production model, which is very modified now beyond reckognition, but I bought it as the mod/test platform.

Original ones are very nice guitars, nice neck vintage frets with 9.5 radius. Body is vibrant (i think it is laminated alder, not sure though). Pickups are very nice vintage voicing and very little hum. Electronics are pure garbage, but that is an easy fix. Fit and finish and soldering/assembly under the "hood" seems far better than on MIM standards.

Hope that helps
