Hi, i´m sorry for my english but I speak spanish only. I recently purchased my first Fender in my life: a (second hand)2004 MIM standard Strat (satin polyester finish). The question is: ¿what is the necessary upgrade in this guitar?
Thank you all the forum

I would and do play other guitars that are similiar to what you have and see if they have something that you like that yours does not. Maybe you like the pickups in another better or you like the look of different tuners.

Your English is great!

If you like the sound of your guitar... you don't have to change a thing. Remember, with different amp settings, and the use of effects peddles, you should be able to get almost any tone you like.
To answer your question though, the most common change, is to replace the pick ups with ones that sound better to you. As already said, try and play other guitars and find the tone you like.
Good luck in your search

Bill

I second Bill, why change it if you like it. Play it for a while first. 8)

I agree with the above comments.

The one thing that I would do (not you perhaps) is shield the guitar to reduce the noise for recording.

Google will give you many ways to do this (if wanted) like :

I'm not sure there is a necessary upgrade if it sounds and plays they way you like. Why make a change just for the sake of changing? It may be perfect as it is.
