Good morning everyone. As some of you may now from reading previous posts, I am cheating on Fender. I went to Guitar Center, with my lifes savings, my brother, and my neighbor/photographer Larry. Since a picture is worth a thousand words, here's the trip.

I was immediatly impressed with the neck on this thing. It is a work of art. I consider myself unworthy of this beautiful guitars presence.
Hope you all enjoyed.

Nice Lp man and I'm sure it sounds great. Were you able to get a good deal on it. I couldn't help but notice the price tag.But then again I've never priced out those guitars. I'm sure its worth every penny. Congradulations on the new ax. The slide show was a nice touch.

Great thread ... and awesome guitar. Maybe it was in there and I missed it, but what was that model you settled on? Some special LP custom? How much?

Congrats on the LP. Is it a 50's neck or a 60's?

Wood- awesome guitar mate- nce Gibson LP Supreme congratulations buddy, Id like to see a pic of all your guitars. I like the way you photographed it too and the Guitar Centre must be an awesome place... Id love to visit a shop like that one day :D

Nik- that Tokai is an awesome guitar, I like the grain on the maple where looking down at it you see a grain going down and the flame going across... thats a way to tell a nice top quality piece of flame maple and not a cheap plank of wood. Note also the one piece body. The one thing I nearly spilt my drink over is the price... with the current exchange rate here have you considered a gibson standard plus?

Blertes I have considered gibson, and still am. That guitar is only 50 miles from me so I'm gonna try and arrange a try nextweek. I figured that tokai have mede great guitars for 30 odd years now and constantly produced similar quality to the bigboys at 1/3rd cost. How much better would one of equall or greater cost be. I'm expecting masterbuilt quality at that price. A bit of digging reveals it to be a one man build much like FMIC masterbuilt.

All thanks to mr TheWood. My gas was quite under control till he got me looking round a few days back.

I knew they do great guitars too- wow interesting though, they do give ameriocan makers a good run for the money.. 8)

I must say- Im eyeing up a strat plus deluxe atm. GAS is like the clap. It comes back and hits you when you think you got rid of it
