you need to get curtains, the will to death, to record only water for ten days, and shadows collide with people.

cumulatively it will blow your mind.

On his 1954 Stratocaster, him and his guitar tech (or the dude who sold them to him, I don't remember) popped the hood and confirmed that there were Seymour Duncan vintage single coils under the original covers. They sounded so good, nobody could tell the difference. Sometime near Stadium Arcadium, the pickups in his main strat, the 1962 Strat, his pickups frahahhahrgewdf up and he switched them out for Seymour Duncans again. He said it in a magazine interview somewhere.

I like the guy too. He is very good and very subtle. He is probably what brought back RHCP.

I read somewhere on the net that he would only go for vintage pre 65 guitars. Nothing new / no reissues. Interesting stuff vs Calpton would go for only new. Once he got rid of blackie he plays only brand new gits.

My three fav strat players are (in order)

1) David G
2) Clapton
3) JF

JF achieves such a creamy strat tone.
