Hey I was just wondering if anybody had any information or links to some good info on a 60th anniversary MIM strat.I got one ahile back. Its sunburst with an h/s/s pickup configuration and a maple neck and a maple fretboard. I was wondering about the pickups. Is there anything special or different about them since its a 60th anniversary? Is there anything else different about them from the regular MIM strats? Thanks.

I believe they are Tex Mex pickups, not Standard Mex.

I can't speak to the H/S/S Fat Strat Mexican for the 2006 Anniversary year, but I have a S/S/S Mexican 2006 model and it has the standard Mexican Pups (not tex mex). If you want a complete history of your guitar you can e-mail Fender customer service and request a print out. Just supply the serial number and you'll get a 2 page list of info about your specific guitar. It will address your pick up question.

Anniversary model will have the texmex. I didnt see the picture from work earlier and didnt know it was fat strat. The 2 single coils are texmex and the humbucker is called a Fender Hot Humbucker.
