Anyhow whats the story with the LP?
Kind of a non story right now Niki, but once i get working on it again, i will fully document the finish, and the mounting of electronics and hardware. basically it is just an unfinished body, with the neck attached. A little project i have had in the pipes for far too long without finishing.

Orville's just giving me a polite kick in the pants to get on with it.

Let's get back to the positive ... what's the story on this?

Before I suggest an answer I'm curious to know if you've seen any large seed pods lying around your house stamped "Made in China."

Yes! Where did you get that body & neck? Did you make it?

There are some real cool DIY Les Paul web sites. I'm hoping this would be one! Cheers.

It seems like a meanspirited test to me. You didn't see me making any mean comments when Niki said he used dental floss to wax his nut slots. (Like saying "I didn't think they had dental floss in the UK.")

**pokes the beehive**

They just don't know it's for teeth!!

Actually....I'm the one who never thought so, with good reason. And, after learning what Niki was using it for, understood. At least his nut slots would likely not require my attention.

'Ironic', as Ceri would say.

So what would be worse to have in one's neighborhood: body snatchers or zombies?

Depends on who or what they are duplicating....my guitar or my ex-wife.

Oooh, look what I've been missing for a couple of days.

In fact, if you read my previous post you'll see I was speaking against national stereotypes as "priggish obvious nonsense".

But hey, let's trot 'em all out anyway, why not?

Cheers - C

I got them from ebay, though the guy sells from his own site now.

As far as i know, ZZDoc is right, they're made in China. But the quality is axcellent. I think I mentioned that it was a kit the first time i posted the picture. The body is 3 pieces of some kind of mahogany with a 2 piece maple cap, with a flame vaneer.I bought all the hardware and electronics from different shops though.

I picked one up after a few people on the Reranch forums had done them. The price wasn't bad, and I think painting a Gibby style burst would be fun. It has made me want to try a full build.

Not sure how cool it would be to post where i got it, on a guitar manufacturers site though.
