This is a 2005 American Standard body I bought off of Craiglist pretty cheap. It had everything but the neck. I changed the pickguard, switches and knobs to black, and put some Lace Sensors in it. I bought a 93 neck and had a Wilkonson rollernut installed. Right now it has some locking tuners from one of my other guitars. I had to put some on there so they could install the nut. I'm going to order some of the chrome fender locking tuners and then I think it's done. Plays and sounds great so far.

And this started out as a 2006 MIM strat that was black with a maple neck. I really wanted a rosewood neck, so put an ad on craigslist asking if anyone wanted to trade. Someone had a 2002 maple MIM neck they wanted to trade, so that's what's on there now.
The guitar was a HSS, but I wanted a SSS config, so I sold the HSS loaded pickguard in Ebay and was planning on putting some black lace sensors in it, but money ran short so I had the American Standard pickups from the Sunburst strat so I used those. You guys can read more about the paint job in this thread if you haven't read it before.

I would like to get some locking tuners for this guitar as well, and then it'll be done I think.

Nice Guitars. I love that custom paint job you did. It is very cool. Thanks for sharing. I may do a refinish on my Musicmaster, and I learned quite a bit here.

Jason - I remember that thread. Your paint work and guitar came out sweet! Be proud of that one! Good job on both of them!
