The question is: how can I find out that body and neck is from one guitar(not a partocaster)? Or at least, that body is american made. If I take apart body and neck, what should I looking at to identify if they are from one guitar?(any serial number or something else on body)
Thanks in advance for your answers.

Well it pretty much depends on the guitar and its age. If you can disclose a little more information someone may be able to help. My main guitars are all recent pieces.
My hotrod and baja tele both have the product number on the neck heel and on a sticker in the pickup cavity.
My customshop has a unique buildcode on the neck and stamped into the middle pickup cavity, its also written on the neck pocket and matches the buildcode on the hang tag.

I'm pretty sure thats dependant on them being new guitars. My mid 90's mexican strat doesnt have that detail, neither does any mexican strat I've seen.

It is claimed as 2005-2006 american made strat(serial numb on the neck). But it is deluxe powerhouse which are often mexican made. But the point is that it is anniversary guitar, so it might be made in USA. So i want to be sure, that it is not a partocaster, but taking body and neck apart isn't a question of few minutes(restringing and etc.), so I want to know if there is a point in doing this.

I'm pretty sure Deluxe powerhouses are mexican made regardless of year. They produced mexican anniversary guitars after all.

The serial on the headstock will begin with mz6. The body will have a battery compartment round the back, mine has a white cover on it. It says powerhouse on the neck heel too. Though the battery compartment is the easiest way to tell. I cant think of anything else in the catalogue that has the compartment in the same place.

The serial on head of the neck begins with z6 and the neck is surely american made(made in u.s.a. inscription under serial). And the body is surely powerhouse(with the battery and sounds like active pickups).
I've searched on net and found american powerhouse strat, but 50th anniversary(the same price as the subject of my question), so it makes chance that there are anniversary american powerhouse strats.
So the only way to make it sure is to take body and neck apart?

This is accurate of a 04
http://raleigh.craigslist.org/msg/1445110226.html

This page lists the unusual models. The powerhouse is around the middle of the page 1997-99. Its a red one with a white battery cover. This states it as being made in mexico. I scrolled down to 2004 it had all the anniversary models on, theres no deluxe powerhouse listed as a specific anniversary model.
http://www.strat-central.com/fmi.htm

All I can surmise is that if the headstock has a Z prefix the neck is a recent addition from a american guitar onto a mexican body. A american deluxe has the prefix DZ, or DN if the guitar is from the nineties. The only guitars with a Z prefix are the american standard and the Highway one's.

Try as I did, I couldnt find any reference to a anniversary or american made powerhouse deluxe.

Hi John, ( Hi niki!),
Another way to do this is to call into our Consumer Relations Dept and ask them if they could look it up for you. More often than not on guitars in the last ten years, we would have a description of what it is.
If you don't mind posting it, I'll be happy to look it up for you.
While it may not definately I.D. it.....it would be pretty close.
Hope all else is well.
Best regards,
rob

Hi, Rob!
There is a little trouble: I live in Russia and so it is difficult for me to call into Consumer Relations Dept. So I ask you if you could call there please.
For my English is not really good, I might misunderstand something in your post, so if any more info about guitar is needed, I'd post it. The question is: 'are there any american made 60th anniversary deluxe powerhouse strats?'
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi John,
First rule that I have is never say never. :O) But to the best of my knowledge we have never made a 60th Ann Dlx Powerhouse in the U.S.
But feel free to email your serial number to my attention at Consumerrelations@fender.com and I'll be glad to look it up and see what we can find out for you.

Best regards,
rob

Unfortunately, there is no private messaging on this forum.
Its fine to email it to consumerrelations
If you're concerned about us having your email info, you can always use a hotmail or yahoo or gmail account or something.
Sorry for the hassle!

So I emailed serial to consumerrelations.
