I just picked up this Strat Plus 1994 or 1995 at auction. I contacted the previous owner and I'm told that the color is Beryllium Blue. I'm also told that this guitar is a, "Deluxe Stratocaster Plus".

SERIAL# N517133

Here is the youtube link to my quitar:

I have a couple of questions;

1. Does the color on the Strat look like Beryllium Blue and does anyone know when Fender stopped using that color?

2. Does this look like a Deluxe Start Plus?

Thanks everyone for your help?

Greg

Greg: From your brief description, the serial number N5 denotes a 1995 but the truth be found from the dates you will find on the neck end and in the neck pocket of the body of the guitar which require that the neck be removed for inspection. Any capable tech can do that for you if you so desire.

The body contours you describe on the guitar are classic strat waist offset and arm relief, common to the body from inception in '54.

Gold Lace Sensor pickups were original issue on the Plus series. The Deluxe Strat Plus may have been equipped with blue and silver Laces.

The 'mountain' for Strat Plus is www.xhefriguitars. com. When you get there you'll understand why. Jeff also has an email link and will be most helpful with your questions.

Though you will eventually learn that the knowledge base herein is fantastic, we will always defer to those of whom we already know....know best.

Welcome.

Doc. :wink:
