According to the Guitar Dater Project it's a '63 made at the Fullerton plant. But to me the wear, especially along the top doesn't look right, it doesn't look as though it's been done over a long period of time, it's not graded. The tuning pegs look as though they have been corroded rather than gradually tarnished with age, same with the saddles as well.
But who knows it could be the real deal, but probably not.

In some of the photos, the red looks like it was applied with a brush.

Anyone serious about selling a 1963 strat would take good shots of the neck plate and the neck detached, maybe even the pickups and whatnot. So to me, it's a fake (Or at least not a 63). Of course there are those who know more than me on this subject, they might chime in soon ^^

I first looked and it didnt look right. I dont know why. I checked all the individual pictures. They are not what a vintage buyer would consider any good for identifying the guitar. The paint along the forearm contour appears to be blistering rather than checking (of which there is little).

Now ok all those things are explainable, the seller could be a genuine bumbling buffoon and we dont know the guitars wearlife. What isnt explainable is the current price of $415 and a reserve not met sign being on the ad. Never mind that why wasnt the auction started at £20,000? Thats not buffoonery, thats financial suicide on anything except a fake.
