I was looking on eBay and came across this 60th Anniversary Strat...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0415900105

The serial # is Z6130481.

Does this seem like an actual 60th anniversary issue?

Thanks for the replies.

It appears to be genuine.I played on at GC when they were out and i remember they came with a silver case, were rosewood/sunburst and had the black diamond on the pickgard.Maybe some of the others can give a more knowledgeable opinion.

It's a beauty isn't it? I read the description and for the life of me I can't understand how anyone could buy such a beauty put it away and never play it.

If you're a righty, there's also this one http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0451265839

From the pics, stickers, and serial number it does look legit. Feedback is also good. I already bid on it. They usually go for about a grand.

Hello B26Maurader,

It's a 60th Commemorative Anniversary.
On the Face of the headstock there is a tiny
genuine imitation diamond in a banner.

These were also made for Sam Ash In Blonde
which I owned for 1 year. Super nice Axe.

It's equipped with 57/62's.

Cheers.

Yep, thats the real deal! Cept looks like they made that one backwards!! ;)

DId you notice the "scratch" on the case? Those things are very delicate, the least little touch will leave a mark on those - mine is tucked away!

Thanks for the replies. Being a lefty guitars, or playing backwards :D , really limits what's out there. My wife is glad I am a lefty, if not, I would be permantly banned from any place that sells guitars
