Mine would be:

Graffiti Yellow or Lake Placid Body
Off White pickguard, with matching knobs.
H-H Config with Dimarzio Super Distortion in the Bridge, and Seymour Duncan '59 in the neck.

It would be a hardtail.

Rosewood, Wizard Profile Neck.

Original Spaghetti Logo.

Sperzel Locking Tuners.

Good to go.

My dream Strat would be either a Sonic Blue or 60s type 3 colour sunburst with a rosewood fretboard and done to the exact specs of an" L" series Strat with a "B" neck and the pups would have to be spot on representations of the "L" series pups as they were such a crucial part of making the "L" series the best Strats ever made(IMHO).

Figured it would be cool to see what variations people have. It might be one you own(owned), might be one you've played, or just specs for one you would love to have made for you.

Any one that my wife would let me buy!

What you need to do is find a way to convince her to buy the guitar of your dreams for you.

I'm halfway there. My wife was the one who paid for my American Deluxe strat. I've added the pearloid pick guard. Now I just need to get the Clapton midboost/tbx controls and Fishman Powerbridge.

I normally wouldn't even bother modding such a nice guitar, but since the sentimental value is more to me than any monetary value the guitar may hold now or in the future, I don't have any concerns of ruining it's resale value.

It occured to me around the time I got that guitar that modern production model guitars are so mass produced that even the more expensive ones produced in smaller numbers are so plentiful that they'll not likely increase in value during our lifetime. Limited runs, maybe, but not regular production models.

What model of Strat is that? It reminds me of my 50th Anniversary Am. Series Strat.

Maple fretboard and neck, abalone inlay. Normal headstock, modern regular neck or soft V. 22 jumbo frets. Staggered locking tuners so I don't need string trees.

H/S/S Texas specials with a Pearly Gates in the bridge or SSS all Texas specials

British racing green finish, tortoiseshell pickguard. Chrome hardware. Hardtail!

Master Volume
Tone 1 = Neck / Middle. push/pull to activate neck pickup in any position.
Tone 2 = bridge, push / pull to split humbucker.

The Blacktop I have now is pretty close to my perfect "signature" guitar.

Alder body
Modern C quater-sawn neck with rosewood fretboard and jumbo frets. 12 inch radius. With a black jumbo headstock.
Floyd Rose pro tremolo
HTH configuration:
Seymour Duncan pickups--Pearly Gates neck, Tele vintage stacked pickup in the middle, and JB in the bridge position.
5 way switch
3 500k pots with the volume being a push/pull to split the humbuckers.
The paint job would be a Dragonburst (solid black, to transparent green, and yellow).

All set up with pure nickel 11-46 gauge strings.

I already have most of this with my Blacktop. I can live with the smaller headstock. Would love to find someone that can paint a Dragonburst without costing the price of a new guitar. Black is a good alternative color.
