Working on my 'perfect strat'... It has an alder body, maple neck, rosewood fretboard, hardtail bridge, seymour duncan pickups (hot, vintage, and cool rails).

My 1989 strat plus is close. I would only change 2 major things. I would like H-H configuration with Red lace sensors. I would also like a set neck.

H-H and set neck?? Has Fender ever had a "Stratocaster" with a set neck?

Long time back. Nice guitars , and the first, I think, to have the relieved neck pocket contour currently on the MIA Deluxe and the Haggard Tele. Out of production now. I'm sure someone has archive photo on that to offer up.

I've played hundereds, and owned about 50 over the years, and I have my perfect strat, "Sophi". I've played a few Custom Shops that could have taken the title, but I keep coming back to her

my ultimate strat is based on my American Deluxe strat.

I picked the particular guitar I came home with because of the tone. In a perfect world it would have been Sea Foam Green or Olympic White but it's sound was most important - so sunset metallic it is.

The changes listed below would need to be made:

-change the stock pickguard for a Pearloid guard
-swap out the tone controls for the Eric Clapton mid boost and TBX kit.
-fishman powerbridge (with a 3 way mini switch added to the pickguard for magnetic pickups only, piezo only or both)
-lsr roller nut

I would also like a second strat that has identical specs with the exception of the pickups. The second guitar would have an H/S/H configuration. The specific pickups would be a Ducan Alnico II Pro in the bridge, a Duncan Jazz in the neck and for the middle position I'd use a Duncan Vintage Rails.

List what your perfect Stratocaster design would be, body wood, neck, pick ups, color, etc. But......

NO SIGNATURE MODELS!

Figured it would be cool to see what variations people have. It might be one you own(owned), might be one you've played, or just specs for one you would love to have made for you.

hotrod

Any one that my wife would let me buy!
