Hi all you Guitar Gurus!

This is a really basic question and am sorry to spring this on you. I tried keyword searching the topic first but I guess I'm not adept enough at it yet.

My question is: Are the single-coil pickup covers that came on my OEM pups easily replaceable?

Some more info:

Guitar: 2009 Highway 1 HSS Stratocaster

I'm handy with a multimeter and soldering iron. I can identify every component on and in the guitar.

I wish to replace the stock white pickguard for a tortoise and replace the knobs, tips and pickup covers from the OEM black to creme. I like the sound of the OEM Alnico III single-coils and don't want to replace them. I just want to alter the color.

I do expect to replace the bridge pickup with a black/creme DiMarzio DP100 and I am not seeking any advice on changing pickup covers for that since they are bobbins.

Thanks in advance! You guys are the tops!

Yep. Easily done.

To remove the pickguard you need to pull the knobs and selector blade Tip off anyway. Then unscrew pickguard and remove pickups and control pots from the pickguard. Once you've done that the pickup COVERS are easily swapped over and you can re-assemble it all. Note that the mounting holes in the new pickguard will NOT necessarily line up with the existing holes in your (guitar) body. You may need to redrill the body.

Cheers.
