Hello everyone!

i just got my new candy apple red Yngwie Malmsteen strat! it arrived yesterday but while i was looking it over i noticed that on the back of the guitar and a few spots on the front it had what looked like grooves or dents or scratches in the paint but when i run my hand over it i cant feel them. its perfectly smooth! so what is this? is it the grooves of the wood or a paint defect? should i send the guitar back? it was quiet a chunk of money and i want it to be perfect!

thanks everyone

Its a chunk of money and you want it to be perfect, so send it back. Your entirely within your rights to do so.

It sounds like paint sink to me. Where the guitar has a thin finish and the paint starts to sink into the wood. I can clearly see the body join on my 57hotrod and customclassic.

Personaly Its never bothered me that much. Its your guitar, your money and your choice though mate.

Ha ha.. What are the chances? My name is Shred and I'm in a Hawaiian Reggae band..

Nice to meet you man. To tell you the truth, I like little flaws like that. It kind of personalizes the guitar to you. You'll ALWAYS know it's your guitar just because of those little things. Just look at it like a birthmark.
