I've used an American Deluxe Strat since 2002.

Recently I found out that my deluxe strat had a spring block of American Standard Strat.
I've never changed that part since I bought it from the dealer shop.

So the Arm that I have doesn't fit into my American Deluxe Strat.

In South Korea where I live, I cannot buy the SPRING BLOCK for American Deluxe Strat.

I called the dealer shop in South Korea, but there was no way that I could buy one.

Is there anyway that I can buy SPRING BLOCK for American Deluxe Strat?

What type of trem arm does the deluxe have? The two tremblocks are identical material and size, both made from 1018 cold rolled steel according to Mike Eldred. The only difference is the trem arms.

Well the pop in arm should go in the deluxe and the screw in into the standard. The deluxe pop in arms are sometimes a little stiff.

I believe Fender sells the Deluxes 2-point trem as a whole unit, but not just the block by itself. If you really want to make use of the pop-in arm, you may have to buy the whole tremolo unit.

I replaced the block on my American Dlx Fat strat (had the pop in arm) with a block made by Callaham (uses threaded arm). I didn't much care for the pop-in arm, though it does save about 10 seconds when installing or removing. Also, the original Dlx block is beveled (less steel), something else I didn't like much.

I can see the screw hole in my deluxe strat.
And my trem. arm has no screw line.
That's why my trem. arm can't be settled in my strat.

Is your trem block tapered? Does it have an allen set screw in it? Was it used when you bought it from your dealer? A picture of the block would be very helpful. What year was your guitar made?

My trem block is beveled and has screw in it.
I bought a brand-new from the dealer shop in Seoul, Korea.
SN starts with DZ1141..
I believe it came with a wrong part.

If your block is beveled, and has a set screw in it, it is the correct block for the pop-in arm, I can assure you. If you can't get the arm in, try loosening the set screw on the block. It may be difficult to get to. Chances are though, you may just have to use more force than you feel comfortable with to get it in. Hope I helped. Good luck!

The block is right. You need to loosen off the grub screw in the block, put the pop in arm into its hole then tighten the grub screw so that it just touches the trem arm but doesnt grip it.

Yikes!! Thanks!! I just remembered that the wrong arm was sent with my Deluxe VG and the dealer was supposed to replace it. We're talking nearly 6 mos ago when the sale occurred.

You can imagine on which end of the planet my brains are at times.

Overlooked the most obvious thing. The guitar is a 01, pre upgrade. I dont know whether that trem had a screw in or pop in arm.
