Anyone know why Fender dealers in the U.S don't ship internationally? I'm having a hard time finding one that does. None of the big box stores do. Something about a manufacturer agreement.

Different pricing structures for different guitars to different countries. Also if something goes wrong with your guitar where do you go to get it sorted. Fender most likely pay close attention to their bulk shipments to my country say. Where a american music store may not. Fender then cant guarantee the transit of the guitar is not affecting its performance.

Personaly speaking in the uk your better off to just buy in this country. After VAT, customs charges and shipping it works out cheaper. You can pay upto 40% in taxation on the USA price.
