These are probably proprietary safeguarded which without scientific method analysis, you'll never get a definitive answer. Furthermore, I doubt anyone feels it is truly worth the time and effort any way. Notwithstanding, from what I observe, the MIMs and the Hwy 1s appear intrinsically to be the same pickup with the only difference being, the former has ceramic bar magnets attached to steel pole piece rods and the latter has alnico magnets serving as the pole pieces themselves. The Am Stds appear to be varying degrees of over wound versions of the Hwy 1s with a better quality coil wire. As to how the three of them compare and contrast sonically, I refer you to YouTube for your first hand impressions.
