Here's another Floyd Rose Classic, this one in sunburst. Just back from the shop because I had it converted to a H-H from H-S-S. No routing required because it's a 1992 and has the swimming pool route. I am very happy with the mod because it got that middle single coil out of the way and personally I think it looks great. Guitar is as clean as can be hoped for and is as fun to play as anything. I don't think there is a lot of love for these but I couldn't be happer since discovering them.

First picture is what it looked like when I got it, including the wrong knobs.

Beautiful! What kind of Seymour's you get? Love the wrench holder. Do you need a screw driver to get your key?

I didn't look at what kind of Seymour that is but I am going to check the next time I change the strings. It came with the guitar, installed by the previous owner and it sounds really great compared to the DiMarzio Tone Zones that I have in the bridge position of most of my other guitars. I thought the Tone Zone was hot Sh*t but this SD is very impressive. It has a lot of bite but great clarity unlike the TZ which is a bit muddy. Those Tone Zones might have to go!

The neck is a DiMarzio Air Norton which isn't anything special to my ears. Should have at least gone with the old standard PAF Pro but what is done is done, for now.

Screwdriver for what key?

Plenty love here. I dig them. Although there are tuning techniques with a 6 point trem that you can use that damn near serves the purpose of a FR (to a degree). If you're heavy handed and a B2A stealth bomber pilot, I can understand the FR use. For some, FR's can simply be a PITA. I'm working on something that technique wise would combine the two, just trying to fine tune the concept. BTW, I noticed your serial # starts with F and it's made in the USA. I'm wondering if it's one of those that made it across the pond and back, or never left the U.S.? Curious about the wiring/switch, but that can wait another day. Give the FB a little sip, and the pickups a workout, and I believe she's ready for induction.

The F does indeed stand for guitars destined for export. The earlier Floyd Classics have what most consider suspect to be a PAF Pro at the bridge.
Not sure if it was a mod, but mine appears to have original wiring (no signs of resoldering) and has the TBX tone pot. Does yours Tonelover?
