Its got me ringing the bank manager. I bought my 50th anni deluxe for £900 in march. One sold for £1400 a couple of weeks back without the case candy. That may be an anomaly, but the price looks set to rise.

Well, 1 guitar for every hour of the gig, or day of the week depending on how you look at it.

Bless my socks, what an odd auction!

Anyone want to band together for a group purchase? Naturally, I want one of the "never played" ones... :D

Cheers - C

I'm sitting on the fence waiting on the question of the "Buddy Holly" guitar.

Not sure if there's anything wrong really... But there's no detailed descriptions on any of them. Just says what they are and there you go. The Koa Tele looks SWEET though!! From what I can see of it. Not much for pics either, is he?

I'd be pleased to bless your socks after you wash them. In the matter of the post, I wonder if this seller is clearing an overstock from Wildwood Guitars or some other poorly judged purchase.

Doc, I only ask a blessing on my antiseptically clean socks.

The used ones go straight to a furnace to be burned for electricity: the only ecologically friendly option. Biomass. They're beyond anything blessing could do for them.

BTW: am I reading the geography right? The seller is in Hawaii but two of the five guitars came from elsewhere, though according to the photo they are all together now. What's the story behind that, I wonder?

The seller also appears to have a pool table in his stock room - but I'm sure that is perfectly normal for Hawaiian guitar shops.

Cheers - C

I would think more of a quilting machine. (One of my wife's hobbies). Some years back we flew 9000 miles, in part, and spent three nights on the summit of Kilauea in the very famous "Volcano House", situated on the edge of the caldera. This had been a dream of mine for over fifty years.

Down the road is a hamlet known as Volcano Village. (Imagine living about a mile down the road from the crater of one of the most active volcanoes on the planet!) So we go into the village for a bite, and right next door to this establishment is a shop with the inviting sign..."Volcano Quilts".

Needless to say where we went after lunch.

Them guitars work out at $1500/£919 each.
The guitar I saw sell for £1485 was a complete anomally. Strings direct now have one for £995.

Its still a winner if anyone is intrested in coming in on it with me. Especialy for the unplayed ones.
