I've FINALLY gathered the troops together for a photo!
As you may tell I LOVE the Highway One Stratocaster HSS!!!
It is a fantastic resonant, toneful piece of wood!
Just so happens......the pickups and tuners totally SUCK!!
So..........I gutted them all....put in new pickups , saddles, and tuners....and NOW and ONLY NOW are they worthy stage guitars!!

L to R;
(Walnut) Gibson BurstBucker 3, DiMarzio Area 61
(Black) Gibson 490T, Fender Vintage Noiseless
(Amber) DiMarzio 36th Anniv. P.A.F. Area 58's
(Wine Red) DiMarzio Virtual P.A.F. Area 58's
(Sunburst) Gibson 57 Classic Plus, Fender Vintage Noiseless
(Ebony Trans. ) Gibson 498T, Fender Vintage Noiseless

Saddles: Ferraglides
Tuners: Fender/Schaller locking tuners

Now....I just have to find a Daphne Blue HSS and my EVIL EMPIRE will be complete!!! Muuuuuaaahhhhh!!!

1: the HSS's all seem to ONLY come with rosewood.

2: I've switched over to the rosewood camp because it is warmer sounding....not so bright and brittle as maple.

Thank you, oh SULTAN of sarcasm, for bringing that up.

It IS about PLAYING the guitar; although I'll be damned, I see NO instructional material listed on this chatboard.
It is also about COLLECTING Fender instruments; or haven't you noticed the birth/new arrival announcements in just about every category?

It is about the joy of creating your own little Fender Herd!!

Hey HWY1Strat

Awesome collection.

I was thinking of doing similar idea on the pickup config as your sunburst. How is that 57 Classic in the bridge sound (would you compare it to Gibby SG)?

What size pot and caps are you using for Gibby pickup?

I noticed you didn't use pickup "frame" (plastic piece that goes around the pickup with screws for height adjustment. Can you adjust height without one?
