i just switched from super slinky's to power slinky's (11's). had to tinker with my set-up a bit, but they sound great. think i'll use 'em awhile.

D'Adarrio XL's. I've tried everything and nothing sounds as good, intonates as well or lasts longer.

In my opinion, they're pretty bull. Yeah they look shiny for longer, but they break so much more frequently than EB's! I haven't broken a string in the last 2 years, all because I wind it well, but most importantly I use ERNIE BALL!

I'm using Hybrid Slinky's (42-9) Gives that freedom in the higher strings for bending etc, but has the chunkiness and power it needs in the lower, for chords to have some testicles to them :) .

D'Adarrio. How do you pronounce that? I've never known!

My fav's are GHS Nickel Rockers - primarily the Eric Johnson signature light gauge set (.010, .013, .018., .026, .038, .050.) I also have EJ medium gauge (.011 thru .052) on one guitar. They've got a nice beefy bottom, a stiffer "G" string that helps with tuning stability, and bendable "B" and "E" strings. The wound strings are pure nickel and semi flatwound, so they're a little warmer with truer intonation and less string noise.
Also have Ernie Balls on one of my guitars - I love their plain strings and their wounds are an excellent, no frills basic string. I also really like the Fender pure nickels - warm but also crunchy...

Ernie Ball either the yellow pack 11's (I think they're Beefy Slinky) or the Not Even Slinky 12's. Anything smaller than 11 just doesn't feel right.
