Warmoth  A good neck is a good neck. I wound not worry about it being a 60th.

+1 on Warmoth--no Fender decal, but one darn good neck.

If you absolutely want a "Fender" neck then ebay is the way to go.

I beleive you can get a replacement through Fender, but you will have to jump through hoops to prove authenticity.

If you want a neck and you don't mind if it's not a Fender I'd agree with the Warmoth option.

If you want genuine Fender have a looksie here:

http://stores.shop.ebay.com/The-STRATosphere

They always have heaps of necks. Not sure where the parts come from though? Does anyone know? Factory seconds maybe B-stock? Or do they pull guitars appart to make more money off the parts?

This is right.

lexalotacus, normally, I'd just look for a replacement from a reputable seller on Ebay (there's A LOT of fakes out there - be careful). But with something specific such as your 60th Anniversary I'd see what Fender could do first. Once you've jumped through their hoops they undertake to supply you with a like-for-like replacement - or as near as possible if they don't have the identical model back stocked.

If you want to go that route you have to go through an Authorized Dealer, as described in the FAQs - read this:

http://www.fender.com/support/faqs.php#q7

Mind you, what it comes down to is just a 60th Anniversary decal or button or something on the headstock, isn't it? Was that the one with the little inlaid rhinestone? Whether Fender will have spares for that - none of us can say till you try...

Good luck - C

I believe that Stratosphere is just parting out new guitars, and selling the parts at a higher profit than whole guitars. If anybody knows info to the contrary, let us know.

This wouldn't surprise me. I've picked up a HW1 body through them to replace one that split in half after dropping it on the strap button, it seemed to me that it was brand new, I couldn't pick fault with it anyway!

U.S. Customs Guitars will build you a neck also and their just as good if not better than Warmoth. Plus they will take the neck back if you're not happy. Warmoth won't. You're stuck with it. And then there is that damn turtle that keeps showing up on everything they do. Plus their neck options force you into buying only what they offer for a certain style neck thus limiting you. You don't have total freedom.
