Hey everyone-

I have one of those MIJ E series strats (1987) with the funky locking tremolos (the fender script one). At some point (maybe 95 or so) I replaced the bridge pickup with a Bill Lawrence blade single coil and removed the headstock string locks (tired of always looking for an allen wrench). Got an american FAT Tele in 97 and let someone borrow the strat for 5 years or so. I haven't really played this guitar in years. The bridge is not really up my alley. I'm not sure what would be a good replacement bridge due to the way the guitar has been routed out. Would the american standard bridge be a good replacement? I'm thinking the tusq nut nd maybe locking tuners? Has anyone replaced one of these tremolos like this?

Welcome to the forum. Floyd Rose also makes a fixed bridge.

That's an interesting idea.
It would probably sound better than the one I have on there now.
I did a little research and it seems that replacing the a floyd rose type unit with a standard strat bridge is a real pain.
